Our commitment

Clear Cited is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is an ongoing effort — currently self-assessed, not yet independently audited.

What we do

Across the site we provide a “skip to main content” link, a single clear <main> landmark and labelled navigation regions on every page, visible keyboard focus indicators, colour contrast that meets the AA threshold for text, links in body copy that are distinguished by more than colour alone, descriptive text or labels on links and form fields, and respect for the “reduce motion” system setting. We do not use accessibility-overlay widgets — they don’t fix real barriers.

Some of this we verify automatically on every build: a structural self-check runs across every page and confirms the skip link and single <main> landmark are present, that our body-text colours clear the AA contrast ratio, that images declare their dimensions, and that no overlay widget is used — and it currently passes on all pages. That automated pass is a floor, not a full audit: a complete manual keyboard-only and screen-reader review against every WCAG 2.2 AA success criterion is still pending, which is why we describe our conformance as self-assessed.

Known limitations

Accessibility is ongoing work. Some third-party embeds (for example privacy-friendly analytics) are outside our direct control. If you find a barrier, please tell us — we treat accessibility issues as bugs and prioritize fixes.
