Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Clear Cited is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies. We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is an ongoing effort — currently self-assessed, not yet independently audited.

What we do

Our page template gives every page a “skip to main content” link, a <main> landmark, labelled navigation regions and visible keyboard focus indicators, and it respects the “reduce motion” system setting. We choose our text colours to meet the AA contrast ratio and we label our form fields; the places where we do not yet manage that are listed under Known limitations below. We do not use accessibility-overlay widgets — they don’t fix real barriers.

Some of this we check automatically. Our site checks confirm that every page with a main landmark has a skip link and that every image declares its width and height, and that our faint (tertiary) text colour clears the 4.5:1 AA contrast ratio against the darkest card surface it sits on. A separate check over a sample of pages flags any accessibility-overlay widget. These are structural checks: they cannot measure the contrast a browser actually renders, the focus order, or how a screen reader announces a form, which is why they missed some of the limitations below. They are a floor, not a full audit: a complete manual keyboard-only and screen-reader review against every WCAG 2.2 AA success criterion is still pending, which is why we describe our conformance as self-assessed.

Known limitations

These are the barriers we know about today. None has a scheduled fix date yet, so each says so rather than promise one.

• ROI calculator (/roi-calculator/): 5 of its number inputs show a caption that is not tied to the input in the code, so a screen reader can announce the field without its name. Target: no date yet.
• AI-readiness scorecard (/scorecard/): each of its 10 yes/no questions is plain text, and its “Yes” and “No / not sure” options are not grouped with the question, so a screen reader can announce “Yes” without the question it answers. Target: no date yet.
• Link styling: on most pages, including the footer, links inside text are told apart from the surrounding text by colour alone, with no underline. Target: no date yet.
• Contrast still below the bar: our form field borders are about 1.2:1 against the dark background, and the grey bars in our bar charts are about 1.3:1 against their track, both below the 3:1 ratio WCAG asks of a field boundary or a chart mark. Target: no date yet.
• Third-party embeds (for example privacy-friendly analytics) are outside our direct control.
